1. Elect the Board Chair/Vice Chair for 2010-2011 period
Jun Murai is elected as the Board Chair. Daeyoung Kim and Yan Ma are
elected as the Vice Chairs of Board.
The new term of board Chair/Vice Chairs starts from Sep. 1 2010, and ends
on Aug 31, 2011.
2. Review on AsiaFI
2.1 Review on AsiaFI Groups/Committee/BoF
Steering Group works as usual. Testbed Committee is in
the early stage, is collaborating with CFI and
will collaborate with APAN FI Testbed WG.
Architecture and Building Blocks WG organizes
workshops each year, and
today the WG chair is elected.
Mobile and Wireless WG doesn't have a formal WG
chair and doesn't have much activities since 2011 winter
school. The board ask the steering group to discuss
the issue of Mobile/Wireless WG.
NDN BoF formed after 2010 winter school, now it
has webpage, mailing-list, and about 15-20 members are
interested.
2.2 Review on Future AsiaFI schools/Workshops
AsiaFI is going to have one day workshop during APRICOT/APAN in
Hongkong, Feb. 23, 2011. Currently, sessions
covers: Routing, FI Architecture, FI Testbed,
Security, etc.
The steering group reported the future school/workshop arrangement:
2011 summer school in Seoul (draft plan:
1-day workshop on network science, 3-day school
program, 1-day workshop on FI architecture), 2012
winter
school/workshop in Bangkok, and 2012 summer
school in Kyoto. Needs good program chairs for future schools.
2.3 Research Activity
The AsiaFI board agreed Kenjiro Cho to compose a position paper by
end of September 2010.
2.4 Finance
Last board meeting decided to raise 10K$ by
donation. Korean donated 1/3. The Japan and China need to donate
donate another 2/3. Ma Yan is assigned to figure
out how China can contribute.
