AsiaFI Monthly Updates on 2010.9.1 
 
1   AsiaFI Summer School was held in Keio Univ., Yokohama, 2010.8.24-8.26. 
    There are around 70 participants including 28 students.
    The statistics of students participation is shown below:

    JP (13):  8 Keio University, 2 The University of Tokyo,  2 Kyoto University, 1 National Defense Academy
    KR (9):   1 Hanyang University, 2 KAIST, 3 Kyung Hee University, 3 Seoul National University
 
2  The  IT3 Workshop  and AsiaFI Future Internet Architecture Workshop were co-located with
    AsiaFI summer school in Yokohama.

3 The AsiaFI board meeting was held during AsiaFI summer school. The board members elected
   Jun Murai as board chair, Daeyoung Kim   and Yan MA as board vice chairs. 
 
4  The AsiaFI steering group meeting was held during AsiaFI summer school. The steering group discussed
   the next phase of AsiaFI and decided  to have some committees under steering group to manage AsiaFI activities: 
   AsiaFI Group Administration, Event Committee, Account Committee, Young Researcher Advisory Committee,  
   School Program Committee, Young Researcher Committee. In addition to these committees, the steering group
   also decided to  have some working groups, BoFs, and mailing-lists  for specific topics (some of the BoFs and
   mailing-list are newly approved in this meeting): Architecture & Building Blocks WG, Mobile/Wireless BoF,
   Testbed BoF, NDN BoF, Recursive BoF, Education mailing-list, and NetSci mailing-list.
 
5  The Architecture & Building Block WG meeting was held during AsiaFI summer school and Fumio Teraoka is
   elected as the new chair.  The NDN BoF meeting and 2011 winter workshop committee meeting were also held
   during AsiaFI summer school.

6  The AsiaFI winter workshop will be held in Hongkong, 2011.2.23. The workshop will be online soon.
