1. Symbios
    It is important that AsiaFI effort shall generates symbios among participating member    
   organizations and countries.  We should avoid zero-sum game, which is not productive 
   enough to justify the regional collaboration.  We also need to have 
   good intercontinental collaboration.  How do we accomplish the symbios?
 
2. Loose federation vs tight collaboration
    Which would be more suitable; loose federation among the particpating organizations
    and countries, or tight collaboration.  We need to identify an optimal policy.
 
3. Testbeds: GENI-extension vs GENI harmonization
    Are we having GENI extensions to Asia, and/or are we having our own testbed(s) 
    which harmonizes with GENI?
 
4. Membership Structure
    What classes of memberships shall we have; individual member, organization member,
    and/or country member?
 
5. Intercontinental Collaboration
    Are we aiming for AsiaFI to be one fo the three regional organizations; Asia, Europe, 
    and North America?  Shall we take complimentary approach?
 
6. Finance
    What level of funding do we expect for AsiaFI?
 
7. Centers of Excellence
    Are we looking for AsiaFI to consist of several centers of excellence as core, or many 
    small groups/individuals as core?
 
8. Upstream vs downstream reseach vs application
    Are we focusing on upstream research, downstream research, and/or application systems?
 
9. Technology vs Engineering
    Are we focusing on technology with APAN and others to handle engineering including 
    network operation (coordination)?
 
10. Fair Share
      Are we aiming for equal share of technical contribution along other continent;
      one-third each?  When Future Internet will be deployed, more than half of the
       Internet users are in Asia.
 
11. Initial Activities( in 2008)
      What WGs do we like to kickoff?
      What activities on graduate student education and research do we plan for 2008?
      How do we coordinate on testbed/network infrastructure in Asia and intercontinentally?
